Context

Nayya is an AI-powered benefits platform that helps employees understand, choose, and use their healthcare and financial benefits through personalized guidance

This initiative served as the foundation for Nayya's AI platform, exploring opportunities across benefits selection and benefits utilization expanding into beta and pilot programs.

challenge

70% of employees avoid asking HR benefits questions for fear of looking uninformed.

70% of employees avoid asking HR benefits questions for fear of looking uninformed.

Employees struggled to find accurate, personalized answers to their benefits questions throughout the year. Complex plan information, unfamiliar terminology, and fragmented resources made it difficult to understand coverage, estimate costs, or know which benefits applied to their situation.

HR teams were expected to provide personalized benefits support at scale despite having limited time, resources, and visibility into employee needs.

archetypes

These three archetypes represent a set of core motivations that drive user behaviors in their health and wealth. They are present throughout all stages of life and across various apps and features of the Nayya platform.

Personas of each archetype exist within each app at every life stage and use case, from hire to retire

Home Screen

Home Screen

The home screen is designed to demonstrate the value of Nayya's AI Advisor from the very first interaction. Suggested prompts introduce common, high-value use cases and help users overcome the uncertainty of knowing what to ask. Because Nayya has access to employer-provided benefits information, including plan details and each employee's enrollment data, it can deliver personalized, plan-specific guidance rather than generic responses.

Benefits Hub

Benefits Hub

Users can access Nayya's suite of benefits apps in two ways:

Browse from the Benefits Hub. The Benefits Hub provides a centralized entry point where users can discover and launch Nayya's benefits apps. Apps open alongside the AI Advisor, allowing users to continue asking questions and receive guidance without interrupting the conversation.

Launch through AI recommendations. When the AI Advisor recognizes that a specific app can better support the user's goal, it proactively recommends launching the relevant app. This helps users discover capabilities they may not have known existed while keeping the conversation active and preserving context throughout the experience.

Mobile Experience

Mobile Experience

The Recommendation Screen presents personalized recommendations, explains why a plan was recommended, and helps employees view and compare alternative options.

Design system

Decision Support was designed primarily for desktop, where most benefits enrollment takes place. A responsive grid system ensured the experience adapted seamlessly across tablet and mobile while maintaining hierarchy, readability, and consistent interactions.
